CRAMA DeMATEI is the embodiment of a unique terroir stretching out over 70 hectares around the two hills, Tegăneanu and Zorilor, where noble old vines have been growing for over 40 years. It's a terroir that demands respect, craftsmanship, and meticulousness to express itself through great wines with excellent aging potential, as proven by every edition of Prince Matei wine since 1998.
Furthermore, it represents the skilled hands of the people who care for and preserve the vines and who know how to select and make the most of each bunch. However, we understand that tradition must go hand in hand with technology to get the best out of our terroir. For the last two years, since we acquired the winery, we invested in bringing state-of-the-art equipment to acquire greater precision in our winemaking process. From this delicate balance between man, nature, and technology, the wines from Domeniile Prince Matei are born and grown.

Hand-picking and demanding selection, careful vinification and maturation in barriques and bottles have transformed the grapes from old vines into a wine with a complex character, which is revealed only to those who have patience.
